You'll have the chance to learn on one of two cutting-edge well control simulators that replicate real-life scenarios, providing an experience that's among the best. These comprehensive simulators are two of only a few in the world! If you've had previous kicks, we can recreate them on our simulators for you, allowing you to work hand-in-hand with our highly experienced instructors. This hands-on approach will bring your training to life and reinforce what you learn.
Well Control Curriculum:
The School of Energy's curriculum meets the requirements and guidelines set forth by the IADC.
This supervisor-level Well Control course is suitable for those with oversight responsibilities, such as wellsite leaders, company men, managers, and engineers. The course provides participants with practical tools and strategies to implement when facing a well control situation. The class will include kick detection, procedures to shut in a kick, calculations, and completion of kill sheets. Also covered are the workover operational aspects and procedures of well control.
Course duration: Five-day course, including WellSharp test time, as mandated by IADC
This Supervisor level course is suitable for those with oversight responsibilities such as wellsite leaders, company men, managers, and engineers. The course provides participants with the workover operational aspects and procedures of well control in addition to coil tubing, snubbing, and wireline.

The Operator level course is suitable for those who work as service company operators. The course provides participants with the workover operational aspects and procedures of well control in addition to coil tubing, snubbing, and wireline.
